Animation history
We have once per week an animation history class. I found it very informative. Sometimes I discover completely new creations which are inspiring me and giving me new ideas.
I think that Astigmatismo has a very original way of telling a love story. I have found out this very inspiring. This is btw cut out on glass. It is a 2011 production, it looks really nice. You can see also the making of it.

Le merle is an animation from 1958, is cut-out of paper on glass also. Even if it is so old, I think it is actual today too. It is a very nice mix of sound and movement. I can see a modern game made this way, very cool .
We have spoken about Luminaris in pixilation class. Pixilation is not pixelation! Pixilation is animation made with human beings, but is not stop motion. Pixilation has it's own term called uncanny valley, this means that to the normal human beying is added a feeling of robotism, this is macking the viewer to arose revulsion to the character, he doesn't feel so comfortable watching this kind of animation. But there could be and canny vally pixilation too. As is Luminaris.
