Acting Animation
Recently we had studied Acting Animation and earlier Intro to Photoshop.
Acting Animation was a nice course supervised by Uri Kranot. He is a danish based animator, but he comes from east Europe. Uri is creating with his wife Michelle very unusual and political themed animation. You can found the whole range of their creation here Uri and Michelle.
The week assignment was to make the bear Baloo from Jungle Book acting as a conductor. We had to use some sound to make Baloo conducting. We had to choose from 6 soundtracks of orchestra music. It happend to be a challenging and interesting assignment. Uri tried mostly to guide us to use the sound and understand the bits, which will help us after to focus on storytelling keys. He said that we should focus on what sounds tell us and how we want Baloo to act. We had to keep in mind the mood which we have chosen and also the bits, becouse the bits will be the most important storytelling keys.
Here is the final product. The things I'm proud for is that I tried to keep the character solid and made him use all the layout space. I also tried to breack the 3rd wall, but I would like in the future to break it harder.
Intro to Photoshop was a 2 days course. Our teacher was Adrian Dexter. The assignment was to create a monster in his natural environment.
